Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility needs with proper technique
- Maintain clear, timely documentation to keep the care team informed
- Help create a warm, respectful environment that preserves resident dignity
- Collaborate with nurses and other staff to deliver coordinated, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by the facility
- Pass background check and drug screen per facility policy
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed approved CNA training program and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a caring bedside manner
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe lifting/transfers
- Good observational skills and ability to report changes promptly
- Team player who communicates clearly with nurses and support staff
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to resident safety and comfort
