Candidate Pay Rate: $44 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to pediatric patients in the PICU
Monitor and assess patients’ clinical status, detect changes early, and escalate as needed
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to protocols
Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team
Maintain thorough and timely documentation in the patient record
Participate in orientation and support new staff during onboarding

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio (or eligible for licensure)
Experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or similar pediatric critical care setting preferred
BLS certification required; PALS preferred or required depending on unit policy
Strong clinical judgment, ability to work in fast-paced environments, and excellent communication skills
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background checks as required by facility

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric critical care assessment and monitoring
Familiarity with ventilator support and advanced life support for children
IV medication administration and infusion pump management
Family-centered care and effective caregiver communication
Proficient documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) use
Teamwork, adaptability, and crisis management skills
