Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) with compassion and dignity
Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
Support patient mobility and transfer safely to reduce fall risk
Provide attentive, respectful patient care and contribute to a calm environment
Document patient interactions and care accurately and in a timely manner
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support excellent patient outcomes
Follow infection control practices and facility policies to keep patients and staff safe

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification (must be current and in good standing)
Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
Basic patient-care skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
BLS (Basic Life Support) preferred or willing to obtain if required by facility

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and bathing/grooming assistance
Vital signs measurement and observation skills
Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
Basic charting and documentation practices
Teamwork and the ability to take direction in a fast-paced setting
Infection prevention and control procedures
