Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
Support safe patient transfers, positioning, and mobility with proper technique
Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
Practice infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Assist with admissions, discharges, and timely patient turnover tasks
Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful, patient-centered care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (state certification expected — GA preferred)
CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is a plus
Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completed state-approved CNA program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care and bedside manners that make patients feel safe
Vital sign measurement and documentation accuracy
Infection prevention, hand hygiene, and PPE use
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
Collaborative teamwork and clear communication with nursing staff
