Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility while preserving dignity
- Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers and positioning using proper body mechanics
- Maintain accurate resident records and communicate clearly with the care team
- Help create a welcoming, respectful environment for residents and families
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required) — ready to work in Maine
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to resident-centered care
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced long-term care environment
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient care skills and experience with ADLs
- Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
- Good communication and teamwork with nursing staff and families
- Infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Attention to detail and reliable time management
