Location: Gettysburg, PA
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (evening shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
- Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics
- Communicate changes in patient condition to nursing staff clearly
- Document care and observations in facility charts according to policy
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and colleagues
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania or eligible for state reciprocity
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic clinical tasks
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Previous long-term care or acute care experience preferred but caring attitude is most important
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient-centered care and dignity-preserving techniques
- Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADLs, transfers
- Infection control and standard precautions
- Accurate charting and documentation practices
- Time management and ability to prioritize tasks
- Collaborative communication with nurses and interdisciplinary teams
