Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality screening mammography exams with a focus on patient comfort and safety
• Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring proper function before and after exams
• Follow ACR and MQSA standards for image quality, documentation, and quality assurance processes
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and clear communication during procedures
• Accurately document exam details and participate in mammography quality assurance activities
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure timely, accurate imaging services

Qualifications

• ARRT certification with advanced mammography credentials (required)
• Washington State Radiologic Technologist license (required)
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Experience with mammography quality assurance and adherence to ACR/MQSA standards
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care and clear communication

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology or mammography program; ARRT certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of ACR and MQSA standards and documentation requirements
• Skilled in patient positioning and imaging techniques specific to screening mammography
• Familiarity with mammography equipment operation and routine quality checks
• Strong attention to detail for image quality and QA record-keeping
• Excellent interpersonal skills to put patients at ease during sensitive exams
