Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging exams (X-ray, fluoroscopy, C-arm and OR imaging) following department protocols
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment in line with manufacturer recommendations and safety standards
• Practice radiation safety and ALARA principles to protect patients and staff
• Verify exam orders and confirm patient identity using two methods before procedures
• Provide clear patient education about procedures, preparation, and safety
• Document patient history, obtain informed consent, and ensure prior studies are available for interpretation
• Maintain accurate patient records and procedure charging in the EHR/PACS/RIS systems
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service calls when needed
• Assist with clerical duties, patient transport, and cross-training other imaging staff as required
• Contribute to quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program (required)
• ARRT (Radiology) registration (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
• Preferred prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist, with cross-training in CT, MRI, DEXA or Mammography
• Comfortable working independently with good judgment and the ability to assist and train others

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in image acquisition for CT and X-ray modalities
• Fluoroscopy and C-arm/OR imaging experience
• Strong understanding of radiation safety (ALARA) and patient safety practices
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS/HIS and general EHR workflows
• Equipment troubleshooting and basic maintenance awareness
• Excellent patient communication and education skills
• Ability to follow imaging protocols and collaborate with radiologists
