Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients, using sound clinical judgment to prioritize care
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and communicate findings to the care team
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary team members to support positive outcomes
• Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and comply with facility policies and procedures
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico (or compact license as applicable)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS or specialty certifications preferred depending on unit needs
• Clinical experience in acute care or a similar setting preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Proficient documentation and charting practices
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and manage multiple patients
• Teamwork, clear communication, and patient-centered care approach
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
