Speech-Language Pathologist - Skilled Nursing Facility
Location: Bell Gardens, CA
Candidate Pay Rate: $85 - $59.5 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders using evidence-based assessment methods
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing safety
- Provide direct therapy and rehabilitative interventions focused on communication, cognition, and dysphagia management
- Monitor resident progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and track outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and compliance with facility standards
- Educate residents and caregivers on therapy strategies, home exercises, and safe swallowing techniques
Qualifications
- Active California Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous SNF, rehabilitation, or geriatric therapy experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and communication skills
Education
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Dysphagia evaluation and treatment expertise
- Cognitive and communication therapy techniques for adult and geriatric populations
- Skilled interdisciplinary collaboration with rehab teams
- Strong clinical documentation and outcome tracking
- Ability to educate residents and caregivers in clear, practical ways
