Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Assist patients with mobility and transfers, using safe body mechanics
• Support residents with meals and feeding as needed, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Document care provided in a timely and professional manner
• Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Valid state nursing aide registry listing (per state requirements)
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
• Prior experience in long-term care or facility setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and infection control practices
• Skill in measuring and recording vital signs and patient observations
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling
• Proficient in clear documentation and reporting
• Teamwork, time management, and compassionate patient interaction
