Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Las Palomas Ctr
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per policy
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the care team promptly
- Support care planning by communicating observations and participating in shift handoffs
- Deliver safe, respectful assistance with activities of daily living
- Follow infection control procedures and maintain accurate clinical documentation
Qualifications
- Active LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) — state licensure required
- Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfortable administering medications and performing routine nursing assessments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Basic patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
- Charting and electronic health record (EHR) familiarity
- Infection prevention and standard precautions
- Time management, prioritization, and team communication
