Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to patients across the facility
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
- Perform routine assessments and report changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with RNs, providers, and the care team to deliver coordinated care
- Assist with wound care, ADLs, and restorative nursing interventions
- Maintain clear, timely charting in the electronic health record
- Support patient and family education with patience and clarity
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in North Carolina (required). RN candidates with appropriate license may also be considered.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Proven clinical skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Ability to pass facility background checks and meet onboarding requirements
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (LPN) or accredited nursing program for RN candidates
- High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and basic IV/shot competency where applicable
- Patient assessment and documentation best practices
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Basic wound care, vital signs monitoring, and ADL support
- Infection control and safety procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills and patient advocacy
