Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams accurately and efficiently to support patient diagnosis
• Prepare and maintain radiographic rooms and equipment to ensure safe, high-quality imaging
• Position patients correctly and provide compassionate assistance during imaging procedures
• Document radiographic procedures and maintain clear, professional records
• Assist with safe patient transport to and from the imaging suite
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies including required health screenings
• Communicate findings and concerns clearly with the interdisciplinary care team

Qualifications

• Current ARRT registry in Radiography (A.A.R.T.)
• Active Rhode Island radiographer license (must be maintained throughout assignment)
• BLS certification required
• Completion of an AMA-approved X-ray training program or equivalent
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in English for effective patient communication
• Ability to meet required personal health screenings and immunizations

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an AMA-approved X-ray/ radiography training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic radiography principles and X-ray imaging techniques
• Patient positioning and safe handling practices
• Radiographic room preparation and equipment operation
• Accurate radiographic documentation and record-keeping
• Ability to work independently during night shifts and adapt to a flexible schedule
• Strong interpersonal skills and patient-focused bedside manner
