Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in the facility
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and report changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Document care, observations, and interventions clearly and timely in the chart
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
• Educate patients and families about treatments, medications, and discharge needs
• Maintain infection control standards and contribute to a safe care environment

Qualifications

• Valid LPN or RN licensure (current, unencumbered) appropriate for practice in North Carolina
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Prior experience in long-term care, med-surg, or similar nursing settings is a plus
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently
• Comfortable with electronic charting and standard clinical documentation

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, medication administration, and patient assessment
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and respond to changing clinical needs
• Skilled in clear documentation, handoffs, and teamwork with clinical staff
• Familiarity with infection prevention, safety procedures, and resident-centered care
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and care teams
