Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to adult med-surg and telemetry patients
• Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry trends to anticipate patient needs
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely using Alaris pumps
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge plans and transitions of care
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care, disease management and medications
• Float to rehab and geriatric psych units as needed, adapting your skills to different care settings
• Respond promptly to patient changes and participate in unit-based emergency responses

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for submission
• BLS certification required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience (med-surg/telemetry preferred)
• Driver's license required at submittal to verify radius eligibility
• Ability to pass an orientation open-book skills exam with a minimum score of 90%
• Willingness to follow facility policies, including fingernail/artificial nail restrictions
• Positive attitude, team-first mindset, and cultural sensitivity to serve a diverse patient population

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Medical-surgical nursing best practices
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical record
• Experience with Alaris IV infusion pumps
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Ability to care for primarily adult patients with occasional pediatrics
• Comfort floating to rehab and geriatric psych units
• Clear communication and teamwork skills
