Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services including order entry and verification to ensure safe medication use
• Perform medication checking and dispensing with meticulous attention to safety and accuracy
• Rotate into ambulatory roles as assigned (anticoagulation clinic, oncology, etc.) to expand patient care impact
• Collaborate with providers, nurses, technicians and other clinical staff to optimize medication therapy
• Support diverse patient populations from geriatrics to pediatrics with patient-focused counseling and guidance
• Contribute to medication safety initiatives and adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania pharmacist license OR eligibility for reciprocity in Pennsylvania within 90 days of hire
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
• Pharmacy residency experience preferred for ambulatory rotations
• BLS certification required if rotating to anticoagulation clinic (renew every two years)
• Advanced practice certifications preferred; retail pharmacy experience will not be considered

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (required)
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
• Strong medication safety awareness and error-prevention practices
• Proven skills in order verification, medication dispensing, and clinical documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills across multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to provide patient counseling tailored to geriatric and pediatric populations
• Comfort rotating between inpatient and ambulatory care environments
