Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Day shift (start times vary between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM); includes weekends. Exact end times vary by assignment; day shift coverage and occasional weekend shifts required.
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services including order entry and verification to ensure safe medication use
- Perform medication checking and dispensing with meticulous attention to safety and accuracy
- Rotate into ambulatory roles as assigned (anticoagulation clinic, oncology, etc.) to expand patient care impact
- Collaborate with providers, nurses, technicians and other clinical staff to optimize medication therapy
- Support diverse patient populations from geriatrics to pediatrics with patient-focused counseling and guidance
- Contribute to medication safety initiatives and adherence to state and federal pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania pharmacist license OR eligibility for reciprocity in Pennsylvania within 90 days of hire
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
- Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
- Pharmacy residency experience preferred for ambulatory rotations
- BLS certification required if rotating to anticoagulation clinic (renew every two years)
- Advanced practice certifications preferred; retail pharmacy experience will not be considered
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (required)
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
- Strong medication safety awareness and error-prevention practices
- Proven skills in order verification, medication dispensing, and clinical documentation
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills across multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to provide patient counseling tailored to geriatric and pediatric populations
- Comfort rotating between inpatient and ambulatory care environments
