Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in an interventional radiology setting
• Perform pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient assessments and monitoring, including moderate sedation management
• Assist with interventional procedures, CT/CAT workflows, and cath-lab style tasks
• Manage vascular access including PICC lines and coordinate with anesthesia when needed
• Document thoroughly and efficiently in EPIC to ensure accurate patient records
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, timely care
• Respond to call assignments and accept admissions as needed, maintaining composure during busy periods

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Texas
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; radiology nursing preferred or ICU/ER experience if no radiology background
• ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Demonstrated ability to manage moderate sedation and vascular access (PICC line) procedures
• Comfortable with call responsibilities and flexible scheduling
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system

Education

• Active RN license required
• BSN not required (associate or diploma acceptable); BSN accepted if available

Knowledge & Skills

• Interventional radiology and procedural nursing principles
• Critical care skills from ICU or ER environments
• Moderate sedation monitoring and safety protocols
• PICC line management and basic vascular access care
• CT/CAT scan workflow and peri-procedural support
• Anesthesia care collaboration and patient monitoring
• Charting and documentation in EPIC
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cath-lab style setting
• Outpatient scheduling and triage for occasional same-day admissions
