Roles & Responsibilities

• Process and code vendor invoices accurately and promptly, ensuring proper authorization
• Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies to protect the company’s cash flow
• Reconcile vendor statements, investigate issues, and clear outstanding balances
• Manage payment processing via checks and ACH to maintain healthy vendor relationships
• Maintain organized transaction records to support audits and month-end close
• Respond to vendor inquiries with clear, professional communication and timely resolution
• Ensure transactions comply with company policies and applicable regulations

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting, finance, or clerical experience (accounts payable experience preferred)
• High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
• Proficiency with accounting software such as SAP or Oracle
• Solid skills in MS Excel for data entry, reconciliation, and reporting
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for vendor interaction

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate's degree in Accounting preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Accounts Payable best practices
• Invoice processing and coding
• Vendor relations and dispute resolution
• Reconciliation techniques and month-end closing
• Payment processing (checks and ACH)
• Record keeping and audit-ready documentation
• Proficiency with SAP and Oracle
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Understanding of compliance and internal controls
