Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and package medications accurately for central fill distribution
• Perform quality checks and labeling to ensure patient safety
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with restocking
• Follow established protocols and sterile handling procedures
• Document work in pharmacy systems and communicate with pharmacists
• Support process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors
• Adhere to state and federal pharmacy regulations and facility policies

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician registration or licensure as required by California (or ability to obtain)
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred
• Previous experience in a central fill, retail, hospital, or long-term care pharmacy is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle routine physical tasks
• Willingness to undergo background check and required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited pharmacy technician program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with medication packaging, labeling and dispensing workflows
• Comfortable using pharmacy management systems and barcode scanning
• Good math skills and ability to follow precise instructions
• Knowledge of HIPAA and basic pharmacy regulations
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
