Shift Type: Night shifts — 3 x 12-hour nights per week (12-hour night schedule; exact start/end times vary). Schedule is variable to cover shift holes, includes weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Night (NOC)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage ventilators and provide ventilator care for adult, pediatric and neonatal patients
- Perform ABG draws and arterial blood gas analysis to guide respiratory interventions
- Set up and manage BiPAP/CPAP therapy and provide Bubble CPAP for neonates
- Deliver breathing treatments, perform EKGs and assist with respiratory-related procedures
- Assist with intubations (support role) and coordinate care with hospitalists and the CCU
- Complete daily shift checks and ensure all procedures are documented and billed accurately
- Prioritize patient needs across the hospital — cover ER, FBC, MS, CCU and inpatient floors as required
- Work independently while communicating effectively with the care team and leadership
Qualifications
- RRT — Oregon license REQUIRED (Registered Respiratory Therapist via NBRC certificate)
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required; PALS preferred
- CRT applicants may be considered if they meet requirements and hold necessary certifications
- Comfort working independently in a small critical access hospital setting
- Ability to walk the unit extensively and move quickly during busy shifts
Knowledge & Skills
- Ventilator management and ventilator troubleshooting (Draeger experience a plus)
- ABG interpretation and arterial blood gas sampling
- BiPAP/CPAP setup and management (V60 and ResMed familiarity helpful)
- Bubble CPAP for neonatal care and neonatal respiratory support
- MEDITECH charting experience
- EKG performance and interpretation basics
- Strong prioritization, teamwork and independent clinical decision-making
- Procedure documentation and billing of respiratory services
