Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to clinic patients within the scope of LPN practice
Take and document vital signs accurately to monitor patient status
Triage patient calls and assess urgency, coordinating follow-up with providers
Manage medication refills and complete prior authorizations efficiently
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support patient care plans
Direct CNAs and Schedulers when applicable to ensure smooth clinic operations
Communicate clearly with providers, coordinators and clinical managers to close the loop on care

Qualifications

Current State LPN license required
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
Experience or interest in gastroenterology and outpatient clinic workflows
Ability to triage patient calls, handle medication refills and complete prior authorizations
Strong teamwork and communication skills; comfortable directing CNAs and working with schedulers

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN/Vocational Nursing)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care fundamentals and hands-on clinical skills
Triage principles and telephone assessment
Taking and interpreting vital signs
Prior authorization processes and medication refill workflows
Team collaboration and delegation to CNAs
Familiarity with outpatient clinic operations in gastroenterology is a plus
