Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor medical-surgical patients, responding to changes in condition with confidence
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate effective patient-centered care
Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge planning
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives
Support orientation of new staff and contribute to a positive learning environment

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (ability to obtain NH licensure if not already licensed)
Clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred
Current BLS certification required; ACLS or other specialty certifications a plus
Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and documentation skills
Friendly, compassionate communicator who values teamwork

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; active RN license required

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices and patient assessment
Medication administration and IV therapy competency
Familiarity with electronic health record systems and accurate charting
Prioritization, time management, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Effective teamwork, communication, and patient education skills
