Licensed Practical Nurse

Location: Orwigsburg, PA

Start Date: 04-06-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, 8.5-hour shifts, schedule as assigned (start and end times vary by assignment)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care and daily support to residents
Administer medications and treatments accurately according to orders
Monitor and document patient condition, reporting changes promptly
Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and care staff to deliver coordinated care
Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and care planning tasks
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
Support patient and family education with clear, respectful communication

Qualifications

Active LPN license in Pennsylvania (required)
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or obtained upon hire
Prior experience as an LPN in long-term care or similar setting preferred
Ability to work per diem shifts and adapt to varied assignments
Must be able to pass background check and required health screenings

Education

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent diploma
State licensure as an LPN required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong skills in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
Comfortable performing assessments and documenting findings accurately
Familiarity with wound care, ADL assistance, and common long-term care needs
Good communication and teamwork skills with patients and staff
Basic electronic charting and recordkeeping experience
