Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers, ambulation, and meal assistance
- Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
- Collaborate with nurses and support staff to ensure continuity of care
- Maintain a clean, safe, and dignified environment for residents
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (Pennsylvania certification preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Previous experience in a long-term care or clinical setting is a plus
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently on per diem shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care and infection control practices
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
- Skill in taking vital signs and recognizing changes in condition
- Good documentation and time-management skills
- Teamwork mindset and ability to follow care plans
- Respectful interpersonal skills with residents, families, and staff
