Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for residents at Cedar Ridge Center during the overnight shift
• Perform timely patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications safely and document accurately in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and communicate essential updates
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards throughout the shift
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring smooth handoffs
• Offer patient and family education and emotional support as needed

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maine or eligibility for compact licensure
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, med-surg, or similar settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Ability to work per diem overnight shifts and adapt to variable schedules
• Reliable, professional, and committed to patient-centered care

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical patient assessment and monitoring
• Safe medication administration and documentation practices
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) proficiency
• Infection prevention and safety protocols
• Clear communication and effective teamwork
• Basic life support and emergency response skills
