Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine baseline mobility, strength, and functional needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to maximize recovery
• Deliver hands-on therapy, manual techniques, and therapeutic exercise programs
• Document assessments and progress accurately in the patient record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility strategies
• Ensure compliance with facility protocols and maintain a safe therapeutic environment

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in California
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or relevant PT degree preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Comfortable working with adult and geriatric populations in a rehabilitation setting
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and effective communication
• Able to pass facility background checks and onboarding requirements

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master or Bachelor in Physical Therapy acceptable

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, mobility training, and therapeutic exercise
• Manual therapy and pain management techniques
• Familiarity with rehabilitation plans of care and discharge planning
• Proficient with EMR documentation and clinical charting
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and team communication
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage time efficiently

This is a travel contract in the East Bay, so you will have plenty to explore on your days off.
