Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate patient care including bathing, dressing and personal hygiene assistance
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection prevention practices
• Support feeding and hydration while monitoring intake and output as directed
• Document patient observations thoroughly to keep the care team informed
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Bring a positive attitude and calm presence to patients and families during overnight hours

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in New Mexico (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain as required
• Comfortable working night shifts and providing hands-on care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first mindset
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• State-approved CNA training program completion

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe patient handling
• Infection control and standard precautions knowledge
• Patient observation and accurate charting
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks on busy shifts
• Compassionate communication with patients, families, and staff
• Ability to follow care plans and accept direction from nursing staff
