Location: Skowhegan, ME
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per diem / Variable days, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC (overnight)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for residents at Cedar Ridge Ctr
- Perform thorough assessments and document findings clearly in the medical record
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
- Respond to changes in patient condition promptly and escalate concerns as needed
- Support residents and families with education, empathy, and clear communication
- Maintain accurate charts, shift reports, and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Maine license or compact where applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or PALS a plus
- Comfortable working 12+ hour overnight shifts and adapting to variable per diem schedules
- Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or med-surg settings is preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and care planning for adult and geriatric populations
- Medication administration, IV therapy basics, and wound care
- Electronic medical record (EMR) charting and accurate documentation
- Strong communication and handoff skills for interdisciplinary teamwork
- Time management, prioritization, and ability to work independently on nights
