Geriatric Nursing Assistant
Location: Brooklyn Park, MD
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per Diem, days vary, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance to residents
- Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and document resident status, behaviors, and any changes
- Support safe, dignified feeding and meal assistance as needed
- Communicate clearly with the nursing team and families about resident needs
- Maintain a clean and safe environment that supports resident well being
- Participate in care planning and follow assigned care tasks reliably
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification or equivalent credential
- Comfort working with geriatric populations and demonstrating patience and empathy
- Ability to follow care plans, document accurately, and communicate with the care team
- Willingness to complete facility-required screenings and onboarding
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles and best practices
- Skilled at assisting with ADLs and supporting resident mobility
- Basic vital signs observation and reporting skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and team members
- Good documentation and time management habits
- Infection control awareness and adherence to facility protocols
