Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and care logs
- Support infection control practices and maintain a clean patient environment
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver quality care
- Build trusting relationships with residents and their families
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Active healthcare-related licenses or certifications as applicable in Pennsylvania
- Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
- Comfortable working in a long-term care or similar healthcare setting
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
- Infection prevention and proper hand hygiene practices
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Clear, timely documentation and handoff communication
- Teamwork and the ability to follow care plans and nurse instructions
