Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations with precision and compassion
Operate and maintain radiography equipment, ensuring image quality and safety
Position patients correctly and explain procedures clearly to reduce anxiety
Adhere to radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the care team to support diagnosis and treatment
Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records in the electronic chart

Qualifications

ARRT certification in Radiography (or eligible)
State of Louisiana radiologic technologist license (or eligible to obtain)
Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification
Comfortable working with digital radiography equipment and PACS
Strong patient care skills and attention to detail
Previous hospital or outpatient imaging experience preferred

Education

Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
Associate degree preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Patient positioning and effective communication skills
Imaging techniques and exposure parameter selection
Radiation safety and ALARA principles
Familiarity with PACS and electronic medical record systems
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Team collaboration and problem-solving mindset
