Location: New Orleans, Louisiana

Start Date: 04-07-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts; exact start/end times and specific days to be confirmed with the facility (Med/Surg RN)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to Med/Surg patients
Assess patient condition and implement individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to providers and families
Document care thoroughly and maintain accurate patient records
Support discharge planning and patient education to promote recovery

Qualifications

Current RN license in Louisiana or compact state privileges as applicable
Previous Med/Surg nursing experience preferred
Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications welcomed
Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize patient needs
Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of Med/Surg nursing principles and protocols
Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
Ability to manage multiple patients and acute changes in condition
Comfortable working as part of a fast-paced hospital team
