PET/CT Technologist
Location: Columbus, OH
Start Date: 04-27-2026
End Date: 07-27-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift); start times vary: 8:00 AM, 8:30 AM, 9:30 AM, or 10:30 AM; Block schedules. Includes occasional evening shift and at least one Saturday per month; floating required.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality PET/CT imaging studies (whole-body FDG, brain PET, limited cardiac PET, neuroendocrine imaging) to support accurate diagnosis and patient care
- Prepare patients for procedures, including starting and maintaining IVs and explaining the imaging process with compassion
- Operate PET/CT scanners (Siemens equipment available) and manage PACS image workflow efficiently
- Administer and monitor pharmacologic stress agents (adenosine, persantine) and exercise/rest protocols as appropriate
- Collaborate with the oncology care team to ensure timely, precise imaging for cancer diagnosis and staging
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety, BLS, and institutional guidelines
Qualifications
- ARRT (R) or NMTCB certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Active state technologist license (valid for work in the hiring state)
- Minimum 1 year of PET/CT experience, including cardiac, brain, and tumor localization studies
- Comfortable performing IV starts and using PACS for image retrieval and management
- Experience in both outpatient and inpatient imaging settings
- Ability to float between assignments and cover occasional evenings and Saturdays
Education
- Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology program preferred
- Required certifications: ARRT (R) or NMTCB and BLS
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of PET/CT procedures and protocols (FDG whole-body, brain PET, limited cardiac PET, neuroendocrine imaging)
- Proficient with PACS systems and Siemens PET/CT equipment
- Skill in starting and maintaining IVs and managing contrast/pharmacologic agents
- Familiarity with EKGs and basic cardiac monitoring during imaging
- Experience with adenosine and persantine infusions and exercise/rest stress testing
- Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations in hospital and clinic settings
