Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor adult and pediatric ICU patients, delivering high-quality critical care
- Collaborate with the hospitalist physician and multidisciplinary team to develop and execute care plans
- Perform advanced life support interventions as needed, using ACLS, BLS and PALS skills
- Manage ventilators, hemodynamics and complex medication regimens with clinical confidence
- Document patient status, interventions and outcomes clearly and promptly
- Provide family-centered communication and education during critical moments
- Work independently when necessary in a rural hospital setting while engaging the team for coordinated care
Qualifications
- ICU nursing experience required; comfort caring for both adult and pediatric patients
- Minimum three years of nursing experience (per posting)
- Current ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications (must have)
- Experience with 12-hour shift schedules and the ability to work every other weekend
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a rural, modern facility
- Registered Nurse (RN) role as listed in primary skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care nursing principles and bedside assessment
- Pediatric and adult acute care experience
- Proficiency with ACLS, BLS and PALS protocols
- Comfort working in a small-team environment alongside hospitalists and other clinicians
- Strong clinical judgment, time management and clear documentation skills
