Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents, assisting with bathing, dressing, and hygiene
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Monitor residents and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with meal service and feeding for residents who need help
• Document care accurately and timely to keep the care team informed
• Create a warm, respectful environment that promotes dignity and independence

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• State CNA certification or eligibility to work in Alabama (required for this assignment)
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed certified nursing assistant training program (CNA certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and ADL assistance skills
• Good communication and team collaboration with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
• Understanding of infection prevention and basic safety procedures
• Comfortable with charting and following care plans
• Compassionate bedside manner and ability to build rapport with residents
