Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive OB/GYN care in both office and hospital settings, managing low- and some high-risk pregnancies
• Manage labor and delivery including vaginal deliveries, operative deliveries, VBACs, breech deliveries and cesarean sections
• Perform required gynecologic procedures such as IUD placement, colposcopy, LEEP, cystoscopy and operative gynecologic surgery as appropriate
• Interpret fetal heart monitoring (NST/CST/FSE) and perform/interpret Level I OB ultrasounds
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations and manage surgical complications when they arise
• Collaborate closely with midwives, APPs and clinical support staff to deliver coordinated patient care
• Document thoroughly in EPC EMR and communicate via PerfectServe for call coverage
• Participate in a 1-in-4 rotating call schedule and provide 24-hour coverage when assigned

Qualifications

• MD or DO (locum OB/GYN physicians are sought)
• Experience in labor and delivery, office-based OB-GYN care and hospital call coverage
• Comfortable with surgical gynecology and common office procedures listed in the job details
• Proficiency with clinical documentation in EPC EMR and responding via PerfectServe for call
• Ability to work collaboratively with CMA/LPN/RN support staff and APP colleagues
• Available to start and complete credentialing in line with the practice timeline

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Completion of residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in vaginal delivery and cesarean section management
• FHR interpretation including NST, CST and FSE monitoring
• Ability to perform and interpret Level I OB ultrasounds and read provider-level scans
• Comfort with operative gynecology including laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures and tubal ligation
• Competent in repairing 3rd and 4th degree perineal lacerations
• Familiarity with onsite lab and ultrasound workflows and collaborating with seasoned ultrasound techs
• Experience using EPC EMR and PerfectServe call system
