Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the operating room, prioritizing patient safety and sterile technique
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to coordinate efficient, high-quality surgical care
• Perform thorough pre-op and post-op assessments and ensure accurate, timely documentation
• Respond swiftly and calmly to intraoperative changes and on-call situations
• Maintain and verify sterile fields and ensure correct handling of surgical instruments and supplies
• Support and mentor team members to promote a positive, patient-centered OR environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Experience working in the Operating Room as an OR RN
• Comfortable working 4x10 shifts and participating in an on-call rotation
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for the fast-paced surgical setting

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique
• Familiarity with surgical instrumentation and OR workflows
• Patient assessment, monitoring, and perioperative documentation
• Effective communication and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to remain calm and decisive during emergent situations
