Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the circulator and surgeon by preparing and handling instruments and supplies throughout procedures
• Maintain a safe, sterile field and ensure infection control best practices are followed at all times
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide timely instrument exchanges to support efficient, high-quality care
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly when called to support surgical cases
• Adhere to all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and facility policies governing surgical care

Qualifications

• Demonstrated competence in sterile technique and operating room procedures
• Proven ability to assist both the circulator and the surgeon effectively in the OR
• Familiarity with patient safety and infection control practices in perioperative settings
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and adapt to varied schedules
• Commitment to complying with state and federal health care regulations
