Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of the OT
• Implement and follow individualized treatment plans to help patients reach meaningful goals
• Document patient progress clearly and timely to support care continuity
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and the care team to maximize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on home programs and adaptive strategies
• Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe, therapeutic treatment environment

Qualifications

• Current certification as a COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant)
• State licensure in New Hampshire or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced rehab setting and able to follow established plans of care
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Completion of a recognized OTA clinical training or fieldwork

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic techniques for ADL retraining and adaptive equipment use
• Able to perform patient assessments, progress notes, and functional documentation
• Knowledge of safety precautions, infection control, and mobility assistance
• Good time management and organizational skills for caseload efficiency
• Ability to coach patients and families with clear, compassionate instruction
