Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents — bathing, dressing, grooming, and assisting with activities of daily living.
Assist with safe transfers and mobility support, promoting dignity and independence.
Take and record basic vital signs and report any changes in a resident’s condition to the nursing team.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
Document care accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies.
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver consistent, person-centered care.

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (state-approved) — active and in good standing
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings/immunizations
Compassionate, patient-focused attitude and strong interpersonal skills
Reliable and punctual with the ability to follow facility policies and procedures

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Current state CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in personal care and assistance with ADLs (activities of daily living)
Basic vital signs monitoring and reporting
Infection control practices and safe patient handling
Clear, respectful communication with residents, families, and team members
Dependable documentation and basic charting skills
