Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate and respectful direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
Take and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Maintain clean, safe patient environments and assist with infection control practices
Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
Document care accurately and timely in the patient record to ensure continuity
Participate in unit teamwork and contribute to a positive, patient-centered culture

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in the state of Pennsylvania
Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Ability to pass required background check and drug screening
Comfortable performing physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for shifts
Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
Previous experience in long term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required

Education

High school diploma or GED required
Successful completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamental patient care skills including bathing, feeding, and toileting assistance
Knowledge of basic infection control and standard precautions
Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
Familiarity with electronic medical records or willingness to learn
Good teamwork, time management, and prioritization under typical clinical pace
