Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, maintaining dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility support
• Take and record vital signs accurately, reporting changes promptly to the care team
• Support meal service and document dietary intake as required
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in resident charts and electronic records
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

• Current LNA certification (required)
• Active state LNA credential or ability to obtain licensure for NH (and VT if applicable)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Facility-required background check and up-to-date immunizations
• Comfortable working 12+ hour shifts and contributing to a team-oriented environment
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant/LNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in resident hygiene, transfers, and safe mobility techniques
• Proficient at taking and reporting vital signs and observing clinical changes
• Familiarity with charting practices and basic electronic documentation
• Good time management and prioritization in fast-paced care settings
• Understanding of infection prevention and patient safety principles
• Ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and therapists
