Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality ICU patient care, monitoring critically ill patients and intervening rapidly when needed
• Manage advanced cardiac life support and emergency interventions in collaboration with the care team
• Perform thorough assessments and maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EMR (Meditech 6.0 preferred)
• Coordinate patient care and handoffs during 24-hour call shifts to ensure continuity and safety
• Float to Medical-Surgical units as needed, providing skilled nursing support across acuity levels
• Communicate clearly with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
• Adhere to unit policies, infection control practices, and safety protocols at all times

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) with active licensure in the required state
• Demonstrated ICU nursing experience; must be a current ICU nurse
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Willingness to take 24-hour call shifts and float to Med-Surg when needed
• Experience with Meditech 6.0 is preferred
• Ability to commit to a 13-week contract and meet contract-specific requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and monitoring skills
• Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced cardiac monitoring
• Proficiency or comfort using EMR systems, ideally Meditech 6.0
• Excellent clinical judgment, prioritization, and time management
• Compassionate communication with patients, families, and team members
• Adaptability to handle changing patient acuity and float assignments
