Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine studies using PET/CT and gamma camera systems with accuracy and compassion
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following safety, regulatory, and facility protocols
• Operate and optimize Siemens Biograph Vision PET/CT and Siemens E.CAM equipment — training provided if needed
• Document procedures and patient information thoroughly in EPIC to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain radiation safety practices and wear provided radiation badge to protect patients and staff
• Provide excellent patient-centered care: explain procedures, ensure patient comfort, and address concerns
• Adhere to facility policies (including fingernail/artificial nails policy) to maintain a safe clinical environment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an acute care setting, contributing to high-quality outcomes

Qualifications

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) — NMTCB certificate required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at hire
• DOT certification preferred at initial contract; required if extended within 90 days
• Driver’s license required at submittal (used to verify radius rule — candidates must be within 50 miles)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nuclear medicine experience (as listed in the posting)
• Ability to chart in EPIC and follow trauma/acute care protocols

Education

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB (required)
• BLS certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nuclear medicine imaging principles and radiation safety
• Familiarity with PET/CT imaging and gamma camera workflows (Siemens Biograph Vision and Siemens E.CAM experience a plus)
• Proficient patient positioning, image acquisition techniques, and quality control
• Comfortable documenting and communicating in EPIC
• Strong patient communication and bedside manner, especially for acute care patients
• Detail-oriented with good time management and teamwork skills
