Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight MST shifts
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status and respond promptly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and transitions
• Educate patients and families with clear, empathetic communication
• Perform triage and escalate critical issues to appropriate providers without delay
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and adhere to privacy and compliance standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license (RN) — active and in good standing
• MST experience or familiarity with military sexual trauma protocols preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS or other certifications as applicable
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills for overnight care
• Comfortable working independently during night shifts and escalating when needed
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse patient populations

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred
• Required clinical certifications (BLS; ACLS/PALS as job-specific)

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and monitoring of acute and chronic conditions
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Triage, de-escalation, and trauma-informed care approaches
• Electronic medical record (EMR) charting and accurate documentation
• Interdisciplinary communication and care coordination
• Patient education, advocacy, and culturally sensitive care
