Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, respectful personal care and assistance to patients
Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
Take and record vital signs, monitor patient condition, and report changes
Document care thoroughly and accurately in the patient chart
Support nursing staff with patient transfers and mobility assistance
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control practices
Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (California) or eligibility to obtain one
Willingness to work per-diem day shifts and adapt to variable schedules
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Comfortable with ADLs, patient hygiene, and mobility assistance
Ability to take and accurately record vital signs and observations
Familiarity with basic charting and documentation practices
Solid infection prevention and safety awareness
Compassionate bedside manner and effective communication skills
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed
