Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Perform patient hygiene tasks and safe transfers to promote dignity and comfort
• Take and report vital signs and relevant observations to the nursing team promptly
• Document care accurately and communicate changes in condition to licensed staff
• Support mobility and fall prevention protocols to keep residents safe
• Work as a collaborative team member to implement care plans and enhance resident well being

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or state equivalent
• Active, unrestricted CNA license in the state of Alabama or ability to obtain prior to start
• Comfort and experience working overnight shifts preferred
• Clear communication skills and ability to document care accurately
• Willingness to pass facility background checks and health screenings as required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA training completion required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Ability to observe and report changes in resident condition
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize during busy overnight hours
• Compassionate bedside manner and teamwork skills
