Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients with compassion and attention
• Perform respiratory assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Administer and monitor therapies, ventilator management, and aerosol treatments safely
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate families and caregivers on respiratory conditions, home therapies, and equipment use
• Document interventions clearly and accurately in the patient record
• Participate in orientation and training to maintain best practices and unit standards

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Active or eligible for Ohio respiratory care licensure
• BLS required; PALS or pediatric respiratory certifications preferred
• Comfortable working with pediatric patients and family-focused care
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass facility orientation and any required background checks

Education

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent from an accredited program
• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Pediatric respiratory assessment and intervention skills
• Proficiency with ventilator management and airway support
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment
• Strong clinical judgment and patient advocacy
• Clear, compassionate patient and family education skills
• Comfortable documenting in electronic health record systems
