Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate support with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with mobility and safe transfers, prioritizing resident dignity and safety
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
• Help with meal assistance and feeding as needed, respecting dietary plans
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and resident interactions
• Build positive relationships with residents and families to enhance quality of life
• Follow facility policies, infection control protocols, and safety procedures at all times

Qualifications

• PCA (Personal Care Attendant) certification or equivalent (required)
• Experience working in assisted living, long-term care, or similar supportive care settings preferred
• Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings (e.g., TB test, immunizations)
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of PCA training program or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident support techniques
• Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility aids
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Good interpersonal skills and team collaboration
• Awareness of infection control practices and resident safety standards
